Judging from details recorded at death, William Baker was born about 1826.^[1]

He married Mary Ann Drew in 1882 in Victoria.^[2] They had at least two children.^[3]

William Baker died on 19 October 1918 in Castlemaine, aged 92.^[1][4]

In William's will, dated 4 February 1911, he had left his estate to his two sons Charles and William.^[4] Probate was granted on 26 November 1918.^[5]
