Hi David,

Your Udale research makes very interesting reading. We hold our surname as a matter of importance and are shocked when others don't. Regards Graeme Australia

Hi David,

I wrote to you recently as part of the England Project's six-monthly check-in with our project members. I haven't heard back from you. I hope you are well.

If you could please drop me a quick note to confirm whether you are still interested in the project and wish to remain an active member, that would be very helpful.

If we do not hear from you within the next 2 weeks, we will assume you are no longer active in the England Project and remove you from our list of project members. You would be most welcome to re-apply to join the project at a later time by signing-up on the project’s G2G welcome post.

Many thanks!

Elizabeth, England Project Leader

Also, do you have any feedback on what the project is doing well and anything we could do better in the future?

Hi David,

The United Kingdom Project has not been active since 2018 and we are now completely closing it down. We are removing all UK project badges. If you still have an interest in the UK and have not already joined another project, then you will need to join the England, Ireland, Scotland or Wales Project by answering one or more of their G2G posts. If your interest is in the British Isles and British Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories, then please contact me directly.

Regards Joan

Hi David,

Thanks for the update of Hannah Ford's profile. I really like the format that you have used. I'm going to start using that for my other profiles.

Cheers, Larry

Hi David,

It's that time of the year again: check-in time! As England Project Leaders, we like to check in with you every six months or so to see how things are progressing. Back in May, we didn't ask for a response due to the rapid emergence of Covid-19 because we understood that people's lives were changing rapidly. While we are still living in a Covid world, we do need to hear back from you this time around.

First of all, how are you doing? What are you currently working on? Are you happy with the team(s) you're in, or would you like to change things up?

Secondly, we're looking for some feedback on the Google Group and our Discord server. Do you use either or both of these? If you don't use either, why not? Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve participation and collaboration, either generally or for you personally?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Joan, Amy & Lizzie.

Thank you Joan (Amy & Lizzie). I can confirm that I remain satisfied with my role in the Derbyshire Team working on Unsourced Profiles. The Team works well together and Stephen provides excellent support whilst sharing his knowledge and expertise. I am now finding the need to tackle more challenging unsourced problems and though that can be frustrating I think it will help me improve my own skill and technique levels.

Cheers, Dave

Finally making a proper start on adding my tree to WikiTree after adding some basic info a few years ago, thank you for all the work on my GG-Grandmother Harriet Crowther's profile! I'm still learning how to format sources and biographies and it's a really good example :)

Hi David,

We had some vandalism done on some "Oven" profiles, I am trying to restore those profiles. IF you look you will see that someone removed the information in the biography, the profile was sourced. If you have questions, please ask.

Thanks Robin. I noticed the merges come through and was rather surprised that the Bio's were blank but couldn't recall their original state. Best of luck. I was working these purely as unsourced profiles so I don't have any personal knowledge of the family history.

Hi David,

Your England Leaders are completing the six monthly check in with all team members. I wanted to thank you for your work on English Profiles and particularly your work in Cornwall, as well as the Sourcerers, Bio Builders, and Connectors. These are unprecedented and difficult times, and we understand as Project Leaders that your situation may have changed somewhat in the last few months. What we are all able to/ wish to contribute on Wikitree has changed. Please let me know if you are happy with your current role and team choice or if you wish to do something additional or different. Thank you again on behalf of all the project leaders for everything you do!

Kindest Regards, Amy Utting

Hi David,

On behalf of the England Leaders, I wanted to say a huge thank you for all your contributions towards the project in the past six months as a Team Member for Derbyshire. We've achieved a great deal during this time and we couldn't have done it without you.

Are you happy to stay in your current teams and the project as a whole? Are there any other teams you'd like to join? What are we doing well, and what would you like to see us doing differently moving forwards?

Please respond to this message via e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks,

Hi David,

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

Many thanks,

Susie

What are you enjoying most about being in the project? What would you like to see improved or changed? Would you like to continue in the project moving forwards?
