Eleanor (Baines) Duer was a part of William Penn's Pennsylvania Settlers community.

Eleanor "Ellen" Baines was the daughter of Matthew and Margaret (Hatton) Baines.[1] Her birth record is found among the Quaker records held at Lancaster, Lancashire, England. The record indicates 'Elin' was born 22 October 1673 and her father was Matthew Baines[2] Elin immigrated to America in fall 1686 with with her parents and siblings.[3] On board, disease broke out and many of the passengers died, including her parents and two brothers, Thomas and Timothy.
