Biography

This profile is part of the Bailey Name Study.

Engaged extensively in the draying business for many years and was quite a familiar figure on the streets. His death, which was very sudden, was caused by blood-poisoning following a wound received by being kicked by a horse last Tuesday. The wound was on his leg and was not considered serious. He was able to be about his work until Friday when he was forced to go to bed and died in a few hours. The deceased was the father of seventeen children, twelve of whom, with his wife, survive him. He was also a member of the O. O. O., and the members of that lodge attended his funeral in a body.
