Thomas Henry James Bailey was born on 4 March 1903.^[1] He was adopted by Alan Edward Bailey and Janet Maud Simmonds.

Research Notes

No GRO birth records was found for Thomas. His father's WWI military record gives Thomas as a child of Alan with a DOB of 4 March 1903 in Camberwell.^[1] However, the 1911 Census for Alan and Janet records that Janet has not given birth to any children.^[2] This is not consistent with Thomas being born in 1903.
