Ruth Bagnell, daughter of William J Bagnell and Ann Cann was born in Gabarus, 8 Februrary 1798. She was baptized as an adult, 15 September 1819 at St. George's Church in Sydney.[1]She married John Hardy at St. George's Anglican Church in Sydney, 11 March 1816. [2] Ruth and John settled in Gabarus where they raised 12 children between 1817 and 1842.[3]
Ruth died in 1878 and is buried in Harbour Cemetery in Gabarus, Cape Breton. [4]
