In 1940, Bernard, aged 24, lived in Ft Wayne, Allen, Indiana and was described as 5' 6" 135lbs light complexion, red hair with blue eyes. [4]
Bernard Leo Baeske married Patricia Hogan on 15 March 1947 in Seattle, King, Washington. [5]
Bernard Leo Baeske (36) married Elizabeth Belle Elder (nee Aikens) (20) on 16 September 1952 in Alameda, California. [6][7]
Bernard Leo Baeske (33) married Mary Ellen Brown (23) in DeSoto County, Mississippi on 23 May 1953. [8]
He passed away in 2012 [9] and was interred at the Valhalla Memory Gardens.[10]
Bernard Leo Baeske, 96, of Madison, Alabama died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 11:15am at Willowbrooke. Mr. Baeske, a native of Michigan, had lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana before becoming a long-time resident of Madison County, Alabama. He retired from the U.S. Navy and Federal Civil Service at Redstone Arsenal. He was a WWII Veteran and a member of the Methodist Church at Trimountain, Michigan.
Survivors include his two sons, James D. Baeske of Knoxville, Tennessee and Glenn W. Baeske of Huntsville, Alabama; one sister, Audra Baeske Maywhoor of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two brothers, Kenneth B. Baeske of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Melvin D. Baeske of Belleville, Illinois; and three grandchildren. The Graveside Service will be Friday at 2:00pm at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama Friday from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.
