Biography

David Badger was born about 1799 in Ireland, son of John Badger and Jean (Peffers) Badger. ^[1][2]

He married Janet Hogg on 28 September 1819 in Tranent, Haddingtonshire. ^[3] They had 8 children.

In 1841 he lived at Main Street, Tranent where he was a tailor. ^[4]

His first wife died about 30 September 1849. ^[5] On 30 June 1850 he married Violet Peaston in Tranent. ^[6]

By 1851 he lived at Back Street, Tranent where he was a letter carrier. ^[1] Ten years later we was a post office manager and lived at East Side of Bank Street, Tranent. ^[7] In 1871 he lived at Back Street, Tranent where he was a carrier. ^[8]

He died age 73 years on 11 May 1872 in Tranent of old age. Informant was his son James Badger. ^[2]
