Biography

Death location is not know exactly. US census (1820), that showed George Bader (Border) living, was that done in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.

Also, name change from Bader to Border appears by 1810. Male siblings also show name change from Bader to Border at this time.

He had at least two sons, Jacob and Lazarus. The rather unique name of Lazarus helped trace the from Berks County to Northumberland County and the name change from Bader to Border. Bader is a Germanic. Handwriting of Jacob Border (Bader) on probate records from the 1840s, 1850s, show Jacob signing his name using German script.
