Biography
Jean Bader
Born on 1 Oct 1735, baptized Jean Bader on the 3rd in Haguenau (St-Nicolas parish), son of Jean Adam Bader and Marie Anne Batt[1]
He was a soldier in one of the Marine companies, the Fischer company. (See Marine companies for more data on them)
His marriage could not be found, his first child is born and baptized 30 Jan 1764, and the text of baptism indicates the daughter was illegitimate and legitimized upon her parents' marriage:
Note: The above seems to have been transcribed by the parish priest from another record, it ends stating the balance of the text is missing.
