Barbara "Barb" Diane Bacon was born 29 Dec 1949 in Staples, Todd, Minnesota, United States. Her parents were Albert Kenneth and Iris LaVern (Gysland) Bacon.

Barbara Bacon's Military Service: Vietnam Veteran, Drill Instructor, and Tng Officer at Fort McClellan, Ala. She served: 1968 - 1982 (14 years).

Sp5 Barbara D Bacon, served as a part-time Mail Clerk, and Supply Clerk, while stationed at Long Binh, VN with Cpt Nancy Jurgevich, and 1SG Mary E Manning.

Now a 2nd Lieutenant (2LT) Barbara became part of the cadre of COMPANY B 1ST BN 24 Feb 1978- 12 Apr 1978 which included CPT Gayle Fix- 1LT Susan Sensel- 2 LT Barbara Bacon- 1SG Larry Smith- SFC Patsy Fox- SFC Edward Simmons- SFC Donald Vanhorne- SFC Carol Allanson, and SSG Dorothy Barry.

After her military service, Barbara went to work as a Letter Carrier for the USPS, 1983 - 2008, for 25 years.

She worked as a Veterans' Employment Representative, at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center, Apr 2010 - 2021. for 11 years.

She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Post 4051 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States.
