Biography
Betty Daveney Backhouse (married name Lukin) was born on 14 August 1911 in Queensland, Australia, the daughter of Ellen Triquet Backhouse and John James Chafey Backhouse.[1][2]
She was a nurse.[3] At the time of her father's death in July 1947, Betty was Sister in charge at Greenslopes Hospital.[4]
Her engagement to John Richard Fancourt McDonald was announced in July 1941.[3]
Betty married George Lionel Lukin on 29 November 1947 at Toowong Presbyterian Church in Toowong, Queensland.[5]
Betty died on 4 February 2000.[6]
