The Jewish Criterion, 2 July 1915:

DIED.

Louis Bachman.

Louis Bachman, aged 73, for 30 years a clothing merchant of. Braddock, died in his home, 426 Second street, Braddock, on Sunday, June 27th.. Mr. Bachman was born in Baden, Germany, and came to this country in 1861. He was one of the early settlers of Parkers Landing, where he was one of the leading business men, prior to settling in Braddock. The deceased was one of the oldest members of Rodeph Shalom Congregation, and a member of the I.O.B.B., and other organizations. Besides his widow, he is survived by one son, Jesse Bachman, two daughters, Mrs. N. Sunstein, of Braddock, Mrs. Lieberman, of Philadelphia, Pa., one brother, Mr. Sol. Buchman, of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Fanny Joseph, of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Mina Ulmer, of New York City. Funeral services were held from his late residence in Braddock on Monday evening, Rabbi J. Leonard Levy officiating. Interment, West View Cemetery, on Tuesday afternoon of this week.^[5]
