Elizabeth was born say 1770 at what was then Buxton, Massachusetts, and became a part of Maine, in 1820. Her parents are not known at this time.

Elizabeth married Ephraim Sands Jr. (1743-1824), the son of Ephraim and Elizabeth (Jones) Sands on 11 Aug 1774 at Buxton, Massachusetts. Their children, born at Buxton, included:
