Biography
Gordon Saunders Ayer was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada in 1906 to Percy Douglas Ayer and Ethel Florence Hill. He married Marion Crane Wry in Sackville, New Brunswick in 1927. They divorced. He married Effie Sinclair Whitehead in Whatcom County, Washington in 1949. Gordon passed away in Nanaimo, British Columbia in 1974. He was survived by three sons and two daughters. Gordon is buried at the Nanaimo Municipal Cemetery.
