RHODENIZER, ELEANOR JEANNE - The death of Eleanor Jeanne Rhodenizer, nee Ayer, occurred on August 29, 2005 at home. She was born in Amherst, NS, on January 30, 1917, the eldest daughter of the late William G. and Blanche (Phillips) Ayer. Besides her parents, her sister Barbara A Disney and her husband of 57 years Stanley D. Rhodenizer predeceased her. She was an avid reader and spent considerable time at the library along with knitting and playing bridge. She was a member of the I.O.D.E. both in Saint John and Amherst. She is survived by her children Pamela J. Haney (D. Conrad), Deborah J. McDonald (J. Kevin), all of Saint John, and W. Geoffrey Rhodenizer (Susan) of Prince George, BC, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, visiting will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2005, at 2:00 pm, from Christ Church, Amherst, NS, followed by the interment of both Stanley and Eleanor at the Christ Church Cemetery.
