Biography

On 15 Mar 1808, the town clerk of Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts) certified "that an intention of Marriage between Mr. William Norris of Livermore and Miss Betsy Austin of Farmington hath been entered with me fourteen Days prior of the Date hereof and has been published in Livermore as the Law Directs."^[1]

A gravestone at the Strickland Cemetery in Livermore Falls, Maine, says that Elizabeth (Austin) Norris died on 3 Aug 1856 at the age of 72 years, 6 months.^[2]
