Michael (30) married Constance Evelyn Cleminshaw (21) (born on 24 February 1908 in York, Ontario, Canada; daughter of John Cleminshaw and Alice Ann (Greenwood) Cleminshaw) on 21 August 1929 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States.^[2]

Their daughter was Joan Ann Archer (5 December 1930 – 22 July 2015).

Michael died on 22 April 1997 in Westlake Village, Ventura, California, United States, aged 97. He is commemorated at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park, Westlake Village, Los Angeles County, California.^{[3] [4]}
