Biography
This profile is part of the Atkinson Name Study.
John Atkinson was an English stonemason, architect and engineer, who is said to have worked in Durham, Kent and other parts of England engaged in stonework construction and maintenance.
He married Elizabeth Smith 12th July 1821.
They had thirteen children, six of whom came to New Zealand in the 1850s.
