Biography

Frederick Aloysius Atkinson was born on 7 October 1894 in Plains Township, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, United States, son of John Atkinson (1869–1901) and Bridget Hughes (1869–1934).^{[1] [2] [3]}

In 1900, Frederick (5) was living in Luzerne. ^{[4] [5]}

In 1910, Frederick (15)'s occupation was 'errand boy'. He was living in Plains, Luzerne with his father, Bridget (40); and his siblings, John (14), Beatrice (11), and Joseph (9). ^[2]

Frederick registered for the draft for World War I. ^[6]

In 1920, Frederick (25)'s occupation was 'student'. He was living in Plains, Luzerne with his father, Bridget A (48); his siblings, Beatrice C (21), and Joseph J (19); and Anthony Hughes (38). ^[7]
