LINDRUM - On October 27, at her home 138 Kerferd road, Albert Park, Harriett, beloved wife of the late Frederick William Lindrum, and dearly loved mother of Dolly (deceased), Fred, Violet, and Walter and loved grandmother of Dolly. [1]
Mrs. Lindrum dies, aged 86
Melbourne, Sat.: Mrs. Harriet Lindrum, 86, "mother of the world's greatest billiards family," died today at her home in Albert Park.
Her sons, Fred and Walter Lindrum, were world champion billiard players. Horace Lindrum, her grandson, is one of the leading players of snooker and billiards. Her husband, Mr. Fred Lindrum, Sen., was Australian billiard champion in 1887.
Walter Lindrum today said his mother had never fully recovered from a brutal assault at her home in August, 1949, when armed bandits robbed her of £80. [2][3]
