Biography
Joseph was born about 1834. Baptized 30 Nov 1834; St. Pancras, London. He was the son of William Ashmore and Elizabeth Bardell.
Joseph, 19, came to Australia with his grandmother Louisa, his father William, step-mother Sarah, and his siblings, on the Royal Stuart in 1853.[1]
