Elizabeth was born in 1916. She was the daughter of Brisbine Clay Ash and Ruth J. Buttrick. She passed away in 1993.^[1]

In 1940, Elizabeth married John C. Johnson (also Cecil Colin Johnson).^[2] At the time of Colin's naturalisation application in 1942, they had one child.^[3]
