Colin Henry Arnold was born^[1] on Sunday, 7th May 1899, the son of Henry Arnold and Fanny (Rayner) Arnold, at Mount Wilson, New South Wales, Australia.

Col married his first cousin^[2], Edith Mary Milton Arnold on Saturday, 26th January 1935 in the (to 5 May 1961^[3]) Baptist Church, Hurlstone Park, New South Wales, Australia. Together they had one child.

Col took out his 1st lease on the marble quarry in 1936. He had an interest in the marble quarries up until 1964 when the last of the leases were sold to the Melocco Bros.
