George Arnold was born in 1887 in Jo Daviess, Illinois, United States, son of William Edwin Arnold (1855–1929) and Susan Elizabeth Mordick (1860–1942).

The 1900 Census for George's parents does not show George living with them. It also indicates that his mother had given birth to seven children and six were still living. George is the only child that is missing from the census record.

I am concluding from this that George died prior to 1900. I can't find any other sources for him.

In the 1900 census William Arnold (age 47) was the married head of household in Nora, Jo Daviess, Illinois, United States. Also living with him were his wife Susan (39) and his children: Elsie (12), Fredie (9), Alvin (7), James (5), Grace (3) and Merril (1 month) The census recorder noted that Susan had given birth to seven children, and six were living. ^[1]
