Biography

Emma Arnold was from Izard County.

Emma Jane Arnold was born on 14 October 1897 in Arkansas, United States, daughter of Joseph Benjamin Arnold and Fannie P. (Pittman) Arnold.^[1][2]

She did not marry, but had two children out-of-wedlock. Emma's children were:

1. Dallas Alonzo Arnold
2. Artemis Anna (Arnold) Minner.^[3]

Alonzo's father was a Jones-a brother of little Omie Arnold, who married Emma's nephew, McKinley Arnold. His first name is not recalled. (perhaps someone out there still remembers?) It is not known if Artemis' father was the same person or someone else.

Emma died on 8 August 1990 in Arkansas aged 92. She is buried in Reeves Cemetery, Melbourne, Arkansas.^[4]
