Biography

Tennessee Kezar "Tennie" Arnhart was the daughter of David William Arnhart and Rebecca M. King. She was born on 26 January 1873 in Barry County, Missouri, United States.[1][2] She was enumerated there with her parents and siblings during the 1880 census, living on a farm in Sugar Creek Township.[3]

Tennie and Noah Peter Anderson, son of John M. Anderson and Susan Raines, applied for a marriage license on 17 May 1890 in Cassville, Barry County, Missouri. They were married before a Justice of the Peace the next day on the 18th in Seligman.[4]

They may have had at least eight children,[5] of whom seven are known:

  2. Effie Maude Anderson (1893 - 1956)
  3. Clarence E. Anderson (1895 – 1895)
  4. Rova M. Anderson (1897 - 1897)
  5. Cleo Dewey Anderson (1898 - 1990)
  6. Ruby R. Anderson (1905 - 1990)
  7. Lucy Helen Anderson (1909 - 1997)

The family hasn't yet been found on the 1900 census. According to the 1910 and 1920 censuses, they lived on a farm at Sugar Creek in Barry County, Missouri.[6][7]

She died at age 56 of colon and stomach cancer on 14 August 1929 in Seligman, Barry County,[1] and was buried at Seligman Cemetery.[1][2]
