Biography

Henry Albert John Arney was born on 28 September 1910 at 34 Kerford Road, Albert Park, Victoria, Australia, son of Isabella Caroline (Ferguson) Arney and Charles Henry Arney.^[1]

Served with 455 Squadron RAAF.^[2]

He was married to Beatrice Hope Wilson.^{[citation needed]}

Henry died on 24 April 1988 in Victoria, aged 77 years.^[3]

Research notes

Probably served in UK with 455 at Skellingthorpe and later at Leuchars when the Squadron moved to Leuchars, Scotland. When the Squadron's aircraft were replaced with Beaufighters, staffing was reduced. Many of the Groundcrew were posted to 461 or 10 RAAF Squadrons. At the time Henry was Corporal Fitter 2 Airframes at Wigsley. Skellingthorpe, Leuchars and Pembroke Dock
