Michael Armstrong was born on June 9, 1822 in Cockpen, Midlothian, Scotland, United Kingdom, son of James Armstrong (~1800– ) and Christina Bothwick (~1800– ).[1] He was baptised on June 9, 1822.[1]
Michael married Susan Margaret Matson (born about 1824 in County Wicklow, Ireland; daughter of William Matson and Hannah Johnson). Their son was Samuel S Armstrong (1856–~1910).
Michael died on September 2, 1900 in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada, aged 78.
