Margaret Armstrong was born in Northumberland in 1882. She was the daughter of Thomas Armstrong and Eleanor Jewitt. She married in Alfred Warren in England in 1909. They moved to Canada in 1911, to BC about 1949 and to Victoria about 1959/60.
The death occurred on June 6, 1968 in Victoria at her residence, 78 Maddock West, of Mrs. Margaret Warren in her 86th year. She was the widow of Alfred Warren and leaves five daughters, Mr. T. (Beatrice) Gillham, Victoria; Mrs. S. William (Edna), Lawrence with whom she resided; Mrs. K (Dorria) Patten. Calgary; Mrs. J. C (Betty) Kenned, Edmonton and Mrs. E (Ethel) Chitwood of Calgary; 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a brother in England. She was a member of Centennial United Church, Victoria. Funeral will be held at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Victoria on June 8 with Rev. Dr. S. J. Parsons officiating. Interment in Hatley Memorial Gardens. Friends may contribute to a charity of their choice.[1]
