Robert Walton married Mildred "Millie" Armistead, daughter of William Armistead and Frances Anderson Armistead, on Nov. 28, 1795, in Cumberland, Virginia.[1]
Her exact birth and date of death are not known, but she was alive in Nov. 1804 when she and Robert sold a tract of land to William Armistead. She died before 1816 when Robert remarried. Mildred's children received an inheritance from their grandfather, William Armistead, while the children of her sister, Nancy Armistead Walton, were disinherited by receiving one dollar and no more.[1]
