Biography

James, son of John Armistead and Jenny Law, was born in England in 1817. He married there about 1840 and later migrated to Victoria, Australia, where he died in 1892[1].

Probate notice: he was described as a sawyer, of Wensleydale. Probate was granted to his widow, Jane.[2]
