Biography
Alfred was born Sep 1841 in England.[1] He was the son of James Armitsted and Esther Hardacre. [2]
In the 1851 census Alfred (age 9) was the son of James Armitstead in Town Street Stocks Hill, Yorkshire, Yorkshire (West Riding), England.[3]
On June 12, 1862, Alfred married Euphemia Russell.[4]
In 1866, the couple immigrated to the United States,[1], where they had ten children.
In the 1870 census Alfred (age 27) was the head of household in Hickory Township, Mercer, Pennsylvania, United States.[5]
In the 1880 census Alfred (age 39) was the married head of household in Liberty Township, Trumbull, Ohio, United States. He was a Coal Miner.[6]
In the 1900 census Alfred (age 59) was the married head of household in Lowell, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States.[1]
In the 1910 census Alfred (age 68) was the married head of household in Lowell Ward 7, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States.[7]
