Frances Elizabeth Armistead was born in 1862 in Chorlton, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom. She was the daughter of John Armistead and Sarah Ballance. [1]

Frances married widower Smith Greenwood on 8th February 1881 in Queensland (Australia). [2] They had nine children.
She passed away on 3rd March 1902 in Beaudesert, Queensland and is buried in Beaudesert Cemetery. [3]
