Biography

He was born on 10 February 1836 in Allegheny City, Pennsylvania, USA and was the son of Robert Arbuthnot and Jane Holden. [1]

On 15 August 1862 Samuel Arbuthnot was enlisted as a Private in Company F, Regiment#28 of the Iowa Infantry. [2]

Samuel Walter Arbuthnot married Sarah Ann Hottle on 25 February 1866 in Benton County, Iowa. [3] [4] [5]

He died on 12 March 1914 in Los Angeles, California, USA [6] [7] [8] and was buried at Pomona Cemetery in Pomona, Los Angeles County, California, USA. [9]
