Biography
Margaret was born in 1836. She was the daughter of William Arbuthnot and Elizabeth Steel. [1]
She emigrated from Ireland to the United States with her family.
US Census Event Year 1850: Living with her mother, sister Isabella and two others in Newark, North ward, Essex, New Jersey, United States. Aged 15.
Margaret married Johnson Cahill (son of Thomas and Eunice Cahill) on 16 August 1856 in Essex County, New Jersey.[2]
They had one son.
US Census Event Date 1860: Living with her husband Johnson, one year old son William and one servant in 2nd Ward Newark City, Essex, New Jersey, United States. Aged 25.
Sadly her son William died in 1862.
Margaret died in 1922.
