Biography

Cornelius was born in 1909. He was the son of John Arbuthnot and Rose Swatowy.

He lived with his parents and sister Catherine in Queens Ward 4, Queens, New York, United States.

He married Helen Taylor in New Jersey in 1929.

They had two children.

US Census Event Date 1930: Living with his wife and infant son Cornelius in Queens (Districts 1251-1500), Queens, New York, United States. Aged 20. Also in the household were eight Roomers.

Ted was drafted into the 2nd World War.

He married, secondly, Barbara Ida Grdenich on 17 August 1942 in West Palm Beach, Florida.^[1]

They had one son.

He and Barbara were later divorced.

Ted then had a child by Harriett Lorene Montgomery.

He died in 1978 at the age of 68.^[2] For the last twenty years of his life Ted lived with Bertha Gund (who died in Florida using the surname Arbuthnot); she was a nurse. She applied for common law status for social security purposes after his death.
