Esther Anglin was born on July 16, 1837 in Clay, Kentucky, United States, daughter of Stephen Anglin (~1809–~1910) and Jane Virginia Allen (1817–~1880).^[1]

In 1850, Esther was living in Clay County with her parents. ^[2]

Esther married Robert Baker (born on March 18, 1831 in Manchester, Clay; son of Robert Baker and Sarah (Rogers) Baker). ^[3]

The couple lived in Clay County with at least four children.^[4] He died in 1871.

In 1873, she married Andrew Jackson Mason (1854 - 1916).^[5] He was from Tennessee.

The family relocated to nearby Rockcastle County. Ether was a housekeeper and Andrew ran the farm. By 1880, they had added more children to the family.^[6]

Esther died on February 16, 1915 in Rockcastle, Kentucky, aged 77. ^[7] Her death certificate reports the cause as "La Grippe" which was the other name for the flu and she was senile.

She was buried in Briarfield Cemetery, Orlando, Rockcastle County, Kentucky.^[1]

Her husband Andrew died the next year. He is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery.
