When Jacob Andrus was born on April 9, 1734, in Norwich, Connecticut, his father, John, was 47 and his mother, Ruth, was 41. He married Huldah (no surname discovered) in 1765. They had six children in 12 years. He died on April 5, 1806, in Montgomery, Massachusetts, at the age of 71, and was buried there.
