Matthew was born in 1880. He was the son of John Andrew Barbara McMillan [1]
He married Mary Belle McDonald in 1904.[2]
Matthew passed away in 1952.
Rockford Morning Star, Tuesday, June 17, 1952 BELVIDERE - Services for Matthew J. Andrew, 72, lifelong Caledonia area resident who died Sunday in his home, will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday in the Atkins-Johnson funeral home. The Rev. Robert Hubbard, pastor of Willow Creek Presbyterian church, Argyle, will officiate. Burial will be in the Scottish cemetery, Argyle.
Mr. Andrew was born Jan. 27, 1880, in the farm home where he had lived his entire life. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Andrew. He attended Caledonia schools and Rockford Business college.
Surviving are a son, John C. Andrew, Springfield, O.; two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude E. Ralston, Rockford and Mrs. Marjorie Wold, at home, and a brother, Thomas Andrew, Caledonia.
Matthew and Mary are third cousins. Alexander Ralston is their second great grandfather.
