She was the widow of Alvah C. Anderson and resided with a daughter, Mrs. Edith a. Haley. A native of Trenton, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Louisa C. Payran and the granddaughter of the late Israel Howell, a civic and business leader in this community many years ago. Surviving besides Mrs. Haley are two granddaughters, the Misses Alva and Jacqueline Haley; a brother, Israel H. Payran and a sister, Mrs. Irene M. Newell of East Orange. The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Poulson & Van Hise Home for Services, 408 Bellevue Avenue. The Rev. John B. Oman of the First Methodist Church will officiate and interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral establishment tomorrow evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.

She was a lifelong area resident. For many years Mrs. Haley was a secretary for the Trenton law firm of Minton and Dinsmore. In recent years, she was associated with the office of attorney Donald R. Bryant Jr. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of New Jersey for over 50 years and was a member of the church's administrative board, music committee, and Women's Society of Christian Service. She was also a member of the Aeolian Choir of Trenton. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles H. Glendinning of Edinboro, Pa., and Mrs. Jacqueline Melnick of South Hadley, Mass.; two grandsons and two granddaughters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Poulson and Van Hise Funeral Home, 408 Bellevue Avenue with Dr. J. Stanley Wagg, former pastor of the First Methodist Church of N.J. officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 1 p.m. to time of service. Contributions may be made to the Camp Nejeda Fund, the N.J. Diabetes Foundation, 317 Belleville Avenue, Bloomfield.

Payran, No. 39 Yard avenue, was the scene of a pretty wedding last Thursday evening at five o'clock, when their daughter, Miss Anna Payran, was married to Alvah C. Anderson, of the firm of Matthews & Anderson. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J.H. Payran of Long Branch, an uncle of the bride. He was assisted by Rev. J.B. Graw of the First M.E. Church and Rev. J.H. Boswell of Trinity M.E. Church. Miss Payran was handsomely attired... The maid of honor, Miss Anna Anderson of Easton, Pa., a sister of the groom... Miss Irene Payran, sister of the bride, played Mendelssohn's wedding march... Israel H. Payran was best man and the ushers were George Howell and James H. Payran. the bride, who is a granddaughter of ex-Postmaster Israel Howell...
