James Anderson was a Texan.

James was the son of John Anderson and Johanna Christine Colson, both natives of Sweden who immigrated to America in the 19th Century. He was born in Houston, Texas and probably lost his father around age ten. James married Eva Needham and they had at least nine children together. He passed away in 1959 at the age of 76.
