Norma (Anderson) Miller is a part of US Black heritage.
Biography
Norma was born Oct. 7, 1931, in Denison, Grayson County, Texas. She was the daughter of Howard Anderson Jr. and Earnestine Guinn Anderson.[1][2]
In 1940, Howard (28) and Earnestine Anderson (27) lived on West Elm Street in Denison, Grayson County, Texas, with their daughters, Norma Jean (8) and Jessie Louise (6). Howard was a porter in a bank.[3]
Norma married Samuel A. Miller Jr. Sept. 16, 1949. In 1950, Samuel (23) and Norma (19) lived in Jefferson City, Cole County, Missouri, with their daughter, Stephanie (one month old). Samuel was a student at Lincoln University and worked as a clerk.[4]
In 1954, the Seattle city directory listed Samuel A. and Norma Miller living on Delridge Way. Samuel was a clerk at Fort Lawton.[5] In 1960, the Seattle city directory listed Samuel A. and Norma Miller living on Yesler Way. Samuel was a service man for Northwest Airlines.[6]
Norma Miller passed away March 1, 1989, in Seattle, King County, Washington.[7] She is buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Seattle, King County, Washington.[8]
