Born in Fairfield, Iowa to Herman and Clara Anderson, Earl was listed as a butcher in the 1915 Iowa census. He is a WWI veteran having served in the 163rd Depot Brigade as a private. He lived off and on between Ottumwa, Iowa and Denver, Colorado. He died in a Veteran's Hospital in Denver after an illness of a few years. He's buried in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Ottumwa, Iowa.
There is no evidence of a wife or children that I have been able to find.
