Edgar Poe Anderson was born on August 26, 1846 in Richmond, Virginia, United States, son of William E Anderson (1812–1861) and Mary Ann Blair (1814–1885).
Edgar had a brother, Richard Anderson (~1836 – November 16 1912).
Edgar died on May 9, 1941 in Greensboro, North Carolina, United States, aged 94.[1] [2] He was buried in Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, North Carolina.
Edgar married Louise Irvin (born on February 19, 1856 in Reidsville, North Carolina, United States; daughter of John Irvin and Catherine (Smith) Irvin). Their known daughter was Lillian Gray Anderson (December 23 1876 – September 7 1973).
