Biography

Ethel (Anderson) DePreist is a part of US Black heritage.

Ethel was born in 1902 in Pennsylvania to John Anderson and Annie Rucker. She was a sister to entertainer, Marian Anderson.

She married James DePriest and they had one son, James Anderson DePriest. She died in 1990.

She is buried in Eden Cemetery at Collingdale, Pennsylvania.^[1]

Note

FAG and grave marker spell the last name DePreist. FAG says she died in NY, but she seems to always have lived in Philadelphia.
