Elspet Anderson was born in November, 1795 in Methlick, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, daughter of William Anderson (1771– ) and Elspet Urquhart (1771– ).^[1]

Elspet (21) married Robert Craighead (25) (born about June 3, 1792 in Old Deer, Aberdeenshire; son of Alexander Craighead and Margaret (Irvine) Craighead) on September 14, 1817 in Fyvie, Aberdeen.^[2] Their children were:

daughter Hellen was linked to Elspet, with no sources. Census shows Hellen in 1841 and Catherine in later census so they ate the same person probably, since Catherine was not seen in 1841 and is with the family with same age in 1851.
