In the 1851 census Charles (age 34), framewWork knitter, was the married head of household on Lower Grove Street, St Margaret, Leicester, Leicestershire [3]. His wife Sophia had been born in Blaby, Leicestershire in 1809.
In the 1861 census Charles (age 45), Framework Knitter, was the married head of household in Leicester St Margaret [4]. With them is daughter, Elizabeth Brown (20) [5]
