Elizabeth Allen was christened on 2 Sep 1821 at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Prescot, Lancashire. She was the daughter of William and Margaret Allen. Her father's occupation was recorded as potter, and the family's address as Prescot.
Elizabeth married James Rigby on 5 Jul 1840 at Farnworth Chapel of Ease in the parish of Prescot, Lancashire. Both were of full age (21 or more) and lived in Prescot, and neither had been married before. Their fathers were named as Thomas Rigby (watchmaker) and William Allen (potter). The witnesses were Nathan Prescott and Jane Critchley.
Their son Thomas Rigby was born in about 1842 in Prescot, Lancashire.
Their daughter Elizabeth Rigby was born in about 1846 in Eccleston, Lancashire.
Their daughter Margaret Rigby was born in about 1848 in Eccleston, Lancashire.
