Biography

Martha was born on 26 September 1839 in Rochester, West Parmes, Lorain, Ohio. She was the daughter of Jude Golden Allen and Mary Ann (Nicholas) Allen.
Martha (Allen) May was a Latter Day Saint pioneer.

Around June 2, 1852, Martha and her family left the USA and headed to Deseret, Utah Territory to help settle as Mormon pioneers. They started their travel from Kanesville, Iowa (now known as Council Bluffs, Iowa) with the Benjamin Gardner Company[1] and arrived in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah Territory on September 24, 1852.


Martha died at the age of 84 on 17 November 1923 [2]in Honeyville, Box Elder, Utah, USA and was buried on November 20, 1923 in Calls Fort Cemetery[3]located in Honeyville.
